Jackson Lloyd, victim and sole survivor of a tragedy at sea, finds himself aboard the mysterious, deserted cruise ship known as the Odyssey. Bombarded by the irrational and unknowable, it is all too easy for him to be content with the affection of its sole passenger: the bewitching woman who calls herself Calypso.
